MESSAGE FROM THE BAND
GypsyFoot formed in October of 2003. In the last six years, we've traveled to many places, met many fantastic souls and made some great friends. We played many great festivals: 10klf, harvest fest, harmonyfest, snowball, project earth, to name a few. Some of our fondest memories come from the road, where adventure was just a flat tire away. Ever done a 450 degree turn on black ice with a van and trailer, eventually blocking both lanes of traffic, forcing you to scramble out of the van, unhook the trailer, push it off the road and do the same with the stalled van so you don't get smashed into by a sliding semi-truck, and still make it to the show just in time to throw your gear onstage and play the show? That's just one fond memory of thousands :)
Dillon and Joe are already living in Minneapolis, seeking new adventures and projects with David on his way to join them and his daughter Maisa shortly. Chad and Roger are taking their new (1972 Winnebago) out to Seattle in search of their own adventure. Mike Smith is finishing college out at the University of Mary in Bismarck and playing with yours truly in a new group called "Human Capital" with Tony Fladeland and Weston Schick. Good things are happening.
In spite of the rumors, GypsyFoot will never "break up". It's WAY too much fun to count it out forever. But the time has come to venture off on our own paths for a while. If and when they converge again, we will know it was meant to be and we'll take it from there. But, until then, we wander through the abyss that is life in search of truth and fun. Thank you all for making it so memorable for us. You have blessed us with your love and generosity. I'm sure we'll be seeing you around soon. It's a small world, afterall. We love you all so very much! Take care, and may the force be with you, always...
